Artist's Comments

Ok, this is the Delisle mural I have been mentioning in my journal (which I tried to update tonight and it wouldn't work).
Its of the main street of Delisle in 1912.

Its all done in acrylic paint on plywood, and measures 4x8 feet in size. I can't say how many hours it took, but I worked on it all winter and most of spring. So many things drove me crazy especially the sky (which I redesigned and repainted 4 times) but I managed it.

Also if you see something that could be improved, please don't tell me. The mural is out of my hands and I want to be left with the feeling that its finished. It was so frustrating to get done that I would probably bite your head off as well, and we don't want that to happen. ^^

This is a photo I took of it when it was sitting outside, and at this point we figured it was done, but while we were waiting for it to be picked up quite a few flowers found their way to it (little yellow ones along the sidewalks). Unfortunately I don't have another good photo of it after, but there really isn't to much different from what you see here.

If anyone is interested I posted a pic of the finished mural at the unveiling on my blog --> [link]
Its the second pic, and yes that is me in the red shirt 0.0

full view please
And thanks to everyone that has left comments etc. even if I can't always reply it means so much to me.

If in doubt, POKE IT!!!
*poke* :poke:

Did you know.. that when you smell, look at, or pick a flower, you're sniffing, staring at, and ripping off a plant's genitals???

It is very nice; and I think you gave it a great ambiance with that sunset behind it! ..

I see one has to visit your blog to get the skinny on your characters! .. also quite interesting. You no doubt have quite the career ahead of you!!

Wow, didn't look like much in the thumbnail. But it sure looks very neat and tidy in full-view. And yes, having done many traditional paintings myself, I know how long and frustrating it can be ( then again, I don't think I've spent an entire season on just one peice lol )

Old mother Hupboard went to the cupboard to fetch her poor dog a bone.
When she bent over, Rover took over and gave her a bone of his own.
