Ponies at Peace: CarrotTop and Derpy Hooves

Commissioned for of the characters Carrot Top and Derpy Hooves from My little Pony.

When *Dax-Rattler came to me with this idea I wasn't completely sure if I could manage it (the downward view especially) but I gave it my best shot and I must say I'm pleased at the outcome. I liked the idea of them laying in the grass staring up at the sky but I've never done a painting with this perspective so it was a bit of a challenge.

Both Carrot Top and Derpy Hooves didn't have a specific gala dress before so I was given free range with the designs based on reference images given to me by *Dax-Rattler. I've also never really done any 'steam punk' clothing before so that was enjoyable to do as well.

I should also point out (for those that aren't familiar with MLP and the characters) that Derpy Hooves (the blond one) eyes are meant to be crossed. So if they look off, it's supposed to be like that. ^^
